Robert T. Grant, MD, MSc, FACS

Robert T. Grant, MD, MSc, FACS, is the senior associate dean for clinical studies at St. George’s University School of Medicine. Dr. Grant is responsible for all aspects of the medical clinical training activities, including developing the shared third- and fourth-year curriculum with clinical partners, site visits, and monitoring activities.



Prior to joining SGU, Dr. Grant was plastic surgeon-in-chief at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital (NYPH), the University Hospitals of Columbia, and Weill Cornell Medical Schools from 2004 to 2021. From 1999 to 2019, Dr. Grant directed the plastic surgery residency program at NYPH, and from 2010 to 2018, he served as vice chair and then chair of the hospital’s Graduate Education Committee, a role for which he was responsible for oversight for all residency training programs across the hospital’s Columbia and Weill Cornell campuses. In addition to his academic rank of professor of surgery at SGU Dr. Grant is also professor emeritus of surgery at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, College of Physicians and Surgeons, an adjunct professor of surgery (plastic surgery) at University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. He also holds a consultant appointment at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, NY. Dr. Grant is a member of the American Association of Plastic Surgeons, American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Society for Aesthetic Surgery, Association of Academic Chairpersons in Plastic Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Grant finished clinical training with a microsurgical fellowship at NYU Medical Center/Bellevue Hospital. He received his Master of Science in management from NYU in 2000.

Naz Wahab, MD, FAAFP, FAPWCA

Naz A. Wahab, MD, FAAFP, FAPWCA, is a highly respected wound care expert and board-certified family physician based in Las Vegas, Nevada. With more than two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Wahab has dedicated her career to the diagnosis, management and advanced treatment of complex and chronic wounds. She is the Founder and Medical Director of Wound Care Experts in Las Vegas and serves as Medical Director of both outpatient and inpatient wound care and hyperbaric medicine programs, including for Dignity Health hospitals and Mountain View Hospital’s Wound Care & Hyperbaric Center.


Dr. Wahab holds board certification in family medicine and specialized certification in wound care and hyperbaric medicine. She is a Fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association and an active member and past board officer of several leading wound care organizations, including the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care and the Alliance of Wound Care Stakeholders. A committed educator and researcher, Dr. Wahab directs clinical research initiatives, serves as adjunct faculty at Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine, and contributes to continuing education programs for healthcare professionals in wound healing.

Lyssa Ochoa, MD, FACS, FSVS

Dr. Lyssa Ochoa is a board-certified vascular surgeon and founder of the San Antonio Vascular and Endovascular (SAVE) Clinic and Mission Surgery Center, the only Medicare-accredited surgery center on San Antonio’s South Side. Dedicated to reducing diabetes-related amputations, she combines advanced surgical care with community-based interventions to improve outcomes in underserved populations. Dr. Ochoa also serves as Founding Chair of the Center for Health Equity in South Texas (CHEST) and President of the CAST Schools Board, leading cross-sector efforts to close life-expectancy gaps, expand health-career pipelines, and address social determinants of health.

Driven by her roots in the Rio Grande Valley, Dr. Ochoa’s work reflects a deep commitment to service, mentorship, and collaboration. Whether in the operating room, the classroom, or the boardroom, she continues to champion innovative solutions that improve health outcomes and create healthier futures for the communities most in need.

Peter Bregman, DPM

Peter Bregman, DPM, is a board-certified podiatric surgeon and founder of the Bregman Foot-Ankle & Nerve Center in Las Vegas, bringing more than 25 years of experience in complex foot and ankle care, trauma, and chronic wound-related conditions. Trained through a competitive Harvard-affiliated residency and an advanced fellowship in podiatric trauma and pediatric surgery, Dr. Bregman is recognized for his surgical expertise, academic contributions, and global lecturing on foot and ankle pathology. He has extensive clinical experience treating chronic diabetic foot ulcers, peripheral nerve conditions, traumatic injuries, and other challenging lower-extremity disorders, integrating evidence-based practice with innovative regenerative and functional approaches. Dr. Bregman’s deep clinical insight strengthens NHMS’s mission to advance clinician-focused wound care solutions and improve patient outcomes.

Amy Couch, MD

Amy Louise Couch, MD, brings deep clinical and research expertise in wound care to the New Horizon Medical Solutions Medical Advisory Board. She is boardcertified in family medicine and serves as a lead physician at Mercy Clinic Hyperbaric and Wound Care in Saint Louis, Missouri, affiliated with Mercy Hospital South.


Dr. Couch earned her medical degree from University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Medicine and completed her residency at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. Her clinical focus includes complex wound healing, including venous insufficiency, stasis dermatitis/ulcers, varicose veins, and ulcer management — in which she is rated “Distinguished” by independent data platforms.

In addition to her hands-on clinical practice, Dr. Couch actively contributes to advancing wound care science. She coauthored a peer reviewed article published in 2025 on “an advanced diagnostic imaging tool to enhance clinical decision-making and wound healing,” demonstrating her engagement in cutting-edge innovations in the field.

Jeffrey A. Niezgoda, MD, FACHM, MAPWCA, CHWS

Dr. Jeffrey A. Niezgoda is an internationally recognized expert in wound care, hyperbaric medicine, and limb preservation with more than three decades of clinical and leadership experience. He serves as chief medical officer of Kent Imaging, where he provides clinical and medical leadership for advanced wound imaging and limb preservation strategies, and is president and CMO of WebCME, an international educational organization focused on wound care and hyperbaric education. Dr. Niezgoda is past president of both the American Professional Wound Care Association and the American College of Hyperbaric Medicine and was founder and president emeritus of AZH Wound & Hyperbaric Medicine. A graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences, he has directed major clinical programs, contributed to wound care innovation, and lectured extensively on optimizing patient outcomes across vascular, regenerative and wound healing disciplines.

Mark Suski, MD, FACS

Mark Suski, MD, FACS, is a plastic and reconstructive surgeon practicing in Thousand Oaks, Calif., since 2001. He graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine, then completed a general surgery residency at UC Davis East Bay and a plastic surgery fellowship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical Center. In addition, he completed a National Institute of Health sponsored research fellowship in wound healing at UC San Francisco with Dr. Thomas Hunt. He is board certified in both general and plastic surgery. He is also a certified wound specialist physician (CWSP). He is a member of numerous national and regional surgical societies, including the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Wound Healing Society and the American Professional Wound Care Association. He is the current chief of staff at Los Robles Regional Medical Center and was the former chief of surgery. He is the founding medical director of the Los Robles Center for Advanced Wound Healing and is currently program director for the General Surgery Residency at HCA / Los Robles Regional Medical Center.

Dane Wukich, MD

Dr. Dane Wukich is an internationally respected orthopedic surgeon and academic leader with specialized expertise in diabetic foot disorders, Charcot neuroarthropathy, limb preservation, and complex foot and ankle reconstruction. His clinical career has been dedicated to improving outcomes for high-risk patients with diabetes and severe lower-extremity complications.

Dr. Wukich has held prominent leadership and academic appointments throughout his career, including tenures at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic, where he treated complex foot and ankle pathology and advanced multidisciplinary approaches to limb salvage. He currently serves at the Veterans Affairs North Texas Health Care System and UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he continues to lead clinical care, research, and education in diabetic foot management.


A prolific researcher and author, Dr. Wukich has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and has contributed to national and international guidelines that shape modern standards of care for diabetic foot and ankle conditions. His work emphasizes evidence-based treatment pathways, surgical reconstruction, and long-term functional outcomes.

As a member of the New Horizon Medical Solutions Medical Advisory Board, Dr. Wukich provides critical guidance on product development, clinical application, and education related to limb preservation, advanced wound care, and complex reconstructive solutions.

With over 20 years of work experience, Dr. Cyaandi Dove is a passionate and dedicated Director of Clinical Research at the Department of Orthopaedics, Division of Podiatry at University of Texas Health Science at San Antonio. Her competencies include designing and conducting clinical trials, managing and leading multidisciplinary teams, and providing clinical advice for emerging technologies in limb salvage and diabetic foot. Her mission is to advance the field of podiatry and regenerative medicine, and to improve the quality of life and outcomes for patients with lower extremity pathology. She is driven by the opportunity to engage in innovative and ground-breaking trials that are on the forefront of new medical technologies, and to collaborate with other experts and stakeholders in the industry.

In her current role as Director of Clinical Research, Dr. Dove focus on wound care and Phase I-IV clinical trials. she has a special interest in regenerative medicine, and has served as a Principal Investigator in over 50 clinical trials, over the past twenty years. Some of the trials she have been involved in include stem cell therapy, platelet-rich plasma, bioengineered skin substitutes, and negative pressure wound therapy. Dr. Dove has also written protocols and proposals for emerging technologies in limb salvage and diabetic foot, and has published multiple articles and presented at national and international conferences. She has also mentored and supervised junior researchers and students, and have contributed to the academic and professional development of the podiatry division.
