SnapshotNIR & SnapshotGLO
Portable imaging tools that help clinicians assess tissue oxygenation and bacterial load without dyes, injections or direct patient contact.
Introducing SnapshotNIR & SnapshotGLO
SnapshotNIR and SnapshotGLO give clinicians convenient, point-of-care access to visual information that supports wound assessment and clinical decision-making. These portable devices use non-contact imaging — near-infrared (NIR) technology for tissue oxygenation mapping, and ultraviolet (UV) light for bacterial autofluorescence — to help bring clarity to wound evaluation.
Both tools are designed to add efficiency, consistency and diagnostic insight to modern wound care protocols.
Near-infrared wound imaging for tissue oxygenation insight.
SnapshotNIR is a cost-effective, easy-to-use imaging device that does not require dyes, injections or physical contact with the patient. Using NIR light, the device maps oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin, providing clinicians with visual information about tissue oxygen saturation (StO₂).
The newest KD205 model expands its use across nearly all skin tones while maintaining the same portability and user-friendly interface found in previous versions.
Key measuring parameters:
Tissue oxygen saturation (StO₂)
Oxyhemoglobin
Deoxyhemoglobin
Key product features
Non-invasive imaging
No patient contact, dyes, or injections are required.
NIR-based tissue assessment
Maps oxygenated and deoxygenated hemoglobin in superficial tissue.
Portable and easy to use
Lightweight, handheld design supports point-of-care assessments.
Designed for diverse skin tones
KD205 technology expands applicability across nearly all skin tones.
Ultraviolet autofluorescence imaging for visualizing wound bioburden.
SnapshotGLO is an FDA 510(k) cleared, handheld device that uses UV light to visualize areas of elevated bacterial load on or near the wound surface. As a non-contact imaging solution, SnapshotGLO helps clinicians identify locations where bacteria may be present by highlighting red and cyan fluorescence associated with commonly encountered organisms.
The device supports wound assessment, monitoring, and clinical decision-making in settings where bacterial visualization may be useful.
Detection focus:
Autofluorescent signatures of bacteria
Visual mapping of elevated bacterial loads (>10⁴ CFU/g*)
Key product features
Portable, handheld design
Easy to integrate into routine wound assessment workflows.
FDA 510(k) cleared
Uses ultraviolet light for non-contact wound assessment.
Bioburden visualization
Red and cyan autofluorescence indicates areas of elevated bacterial presence.
Supports clinical decision-making
Provides visual information at the point of care.
Clinical applications
SnapshotNIR may be used for:
- Evaluating tissue oxygen saturation (StO₂)
- Mapping oxyhemoglobin and deoxyhemoglobin
- Supporting assessment of therapy response
- Monitoring changes in wound status over time
SnapshotGLO may be used for:
- Identifying areas of elevated bacterial presence
- Visualizing autofluorescent bacterial signatures
- Supporting wound hygiene efforts
