Coverage & Documentation
Surgical DME dressings are covered by insurance when a qualifying wound is present, defined as a wound caused by or treated with a surgical procedure, or a wound following debridement (regardless of technique). The surgical procedure or debridement must be performed by a licensed treating practitioner.
